Storage Services
Empire offers firm no-notice storage service and interruptible storage service under rate schedules FSNN and ISS, as described below.
Firm Storage No-Notice (FSNN)
- Unbundled, open-access storage is available to all qualified shippers on a firm basis.
- In conjunction with the FTNN Rate Schedule, this service provides the foundation for Empire’s “no-notice” service.
- Withdrawal period commences November 1st and ends March 31st. Injection period commences April 1st and ends October 31st.
- Capacity may be released to qualified bidders on a prearranged basis and/or by posting for bid.
- Includes the ability to transfer storage balances into another FSNN or ISS contract.
Interruptible Storage Service (ISS)
- An unbundled open access storage service provided on an interruptible basis when and where capacity is available.
- Ideal for taking advantage of market opportunities.
- Empire may require withdrawal of gas with 30 days’ notice.
- A Storage Capacity Charge and an Injection Charge apply to this rate schedule.
- Includes the ability to transfer storage balances into another FSNN or ISS contract.
Transfers Storage Balance
- Provided operational conditions permit, all or any part of a shipper’s storage balance may be transferred to another shipper’s storage account under the FSNN or ISS rate schedule.
- A storage balance transfer fee shall apply to both parties, however, except as set forth in Section 3.4 of the ISS Rate Schedule, no injection charge, withdrawal charge, surcharge or surface operating allowance shall apply.
