Empire Pipeline is well situated to provide transportation of Appalachian shale gas supply as well as western Canadian gas received at Chippawa. Empire’s location gives it the opportunity to be a key transporter in the North American pipeline grid. When pipeline capacity is available, Empire Pipeline’s Interruptible Transportation (IT) service can provide shippers with an economical means to move such gas supplies to several on-system LDCs located throughout upstate New York and to growing U.S. and Canadian markets via interconnections with several major interstate pipelines including Millennium, TC Energy, Tennessee Gas and National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation. These provide shippers with access to storage services, as well.
Shippers that contract for Empire Pipeline’s IT service will be able to customize their delivery by choosing from all of Empire’s receipt and delivery points.
